In 2023/24, the rate of registrations to the child protection register from initial and pre-birth child protection planning meetings during the year was 3.0. This is a slight decrease from 3.1 the previous year, and reflects a sustained downward trend in registrations since the baseline rate of 4.1 in 2018/19.
