There has been an overall increase in leavers who experienced care during their last year achieving national qualifications at SCQF level 5 or better, from 34.6% in 2018/19, to 39.9% in 2024/25, though this has decreased year-on-year since 2021/22.
The gap between the proportion of leavers who experienced care in their last year and all leavers who achieved SCQF level 5 or better has decreased since 2018/19. The gap decreased from 50.5 percentage points in 2018/19 to 44.2 in 2024/25.
