Seclusion incidents in care homes for children and young people have been reported nationally since 2022. School care accommodation reporting began in 2023. As this is the first-year results are published in this way, long-term patterns cannot yet be assessed. Current figures provide a baseline for monitoring seclusion in care homes since the Promise was made in 2020.
