National data on seclusion incidents in school care accommodation was first collected in 2023. With no earlier figures for this setting, long-term changes cannot yet be assessed. Current reporting provides an initial baseline for seclusion in school care accommodation, which will allow monitoring alongside restraint and seclusion data from care homes and secure care since 2022.
